Hour Of The Thief (Charlie Midnight, The Deed)

There were ashes on the bed sheet
There were crumbs upon your lips
I lost you in the aftermath
Of a hundred thousand trips
But God, you looked so beautiful
You stole all my belief
In the moment of your nakedness
In the hour of the thief

In the hour of thief
We steal another day
In the hour of the thief
Somehow we get away
With you it feels like freedom
But I know that I’m not free
In the hour of the thief
You take everything from me

In the shadow of your holiness
I sat upon your ragged bed
And watched you spread your angel’s wings
A vision in my head
And around us there was nothing
But the smoke of fires past
You said, “kiss an angel and you’ll burn”
I said, “I never even asked”

In the hour of the thief
The guilty do not pay
We keep what we have stolen
And lead ourselves astray
With you it feels like dreaming
But I’m not the kind that dreams
In the hour the thief
You take everything

In the hour of thief
We steal another day
In the hour of the thief
Somehow we get away
With you it feels like freedom
But I know that I’m not free
In the hour of the thief
You take everything from me

Another great song! Thanks for sharing. So far the most quiet one, not as rocking as “love machine” and not as much focused on the voice as “angel of war”. Therefore its difficult to point out what I like on this song. Its simply but true a beautiful song, perfect for this last minutes before I move to my dreams.
